CODES OF CONDUCT

The Well® is pleased to offer a smoke-free and vape-free establishment in compliance with all government legislation. Under the Smoke-Free Ontario Act, 2017, you cannot smoke or vape in any enclosed workplace, any enclosed public place and other places designated as smoke-free and vape-free. In addition, smoking or vaping is not permitted within 9 meters (30 ft) of any entrance or covered area to The Well. This includes marijuana and associated products legalized by governments in October 2018. 

Running, skateboarding, bicycling, inline skating, hoverboarding, use of non-medical motorized vehicles, littering, profane language, mischief, vandalism, the unsafe use of elevators and escalators, distributing printed materials and/or soliciting of any kind is strictly prohibited. Pre-approved exceptions may apply. Intimidating behaviour by groups or individuals or behaving in such a way as to inconvenience others, loitering, or blocking storefronts or fire exits is prohibited. Picketing, demonstrating, and petitioning are prohibited. Any act that violates Municipal, Provincial or Federal laws or regulations is prohibited. 

The Well security team performs regular foot patrols of the property. In addition, The Well is serviced by closed-circuit television CCTV surveillance cameras at all times. The Well reserves the right to take pictures and capture video content on the premises for safety measures and marketing purposes. 

Parking spaces, roadways, and laybys are for the use of employees, tenants, residents and the public. Violation of Parking Regulations of the City of Toronto could result in a Municipal Parking Infraction. Assistance Stations are located throughout the parking garage for the safety of our guests and will directly reach our onsite Security Team. 

Any items that could be deemed dangerous or offensive to the public including pocket knives, hunting knives, or imitation weapons are not permitted on the property. 

Please note that The Well conducts regular lockdown drills, etc. to assist guests, residents and tenants to be prepared in the event of an emergency. 

Hotel shuttles, mid-sized buses, taxis and ride-share providers are required to use the Front St drop-off and pick-up loop. 

Deliveries must utilize the proper loading facilities as allocated by The Well Property Management.

Couriers must park their bicycles at the Front St. drop-off & pick-up loop. Vehicles must park on P2 in the garage. 

Entertainment and electronic music devices may only be operated at accepted locations and at appropriate volume levels. 

Participating shops permit the entry of domestic dogs, however, they must be restrained by a leash and be well-behaved. All pets must be kept on their leash, or in their carriers while shopping. Dogs must remain in the care and control of their owners at all times and never be left unattended at any time. Participation is at the discretion of the tenant and guests are to acknowledge that unique shop policies may apply. Look for the Pet Love symbol indicating participating shops and zones.

Dogs are permitted in the Wellington Market and on participating dining patios, but note that they are not permitted within food preparation areas.

We try our best to keep The Well clean for our guests. If an accident does happen, please clean up after your dog.

If an accident does happen, patrons are to do their best to clean up after the pet.

While they may get excited if a guest’s dog starts barking or whimpering, they are to take him/her away from the area so other shoppers are not inconvenienced.

Dog training/walking groups and organized classes must receive permission to utilize the campus through The Well Property Management Office.

Service dogs are always welcome in all common areas.

Please refrain from abusive or prolonged use of chairs, tables and seating areas. 

Clothing, including shirts and shoes, must be worn and must be free from obscene language, gestures or racial/religious/ethnic slurs. Attire that may be considered objectionable, constitutes a disguise, hoods, and/or is intended to conceal identity is not permitted. 

Motorized wheelchairs or medical scooters must be operated at low speeds to ensure the safety of all guests.

We welcome you to capture the excitement of your visit via digital cameras and smartphones for personal use. Professional filming/photography for commercial purposes or capturing a group can be conducted with prior approval from The Well Property Management. During inclement weather conditions or routine floor and pathway cleaning, surfaces may become slippery when wet. 

We use a foot traffic counting system through ingress points and mobile location analytics to improve our service. 

The Well logos are registered trademarks, or trade dress in Canada and/or other countries. Our trademarks, logos, renderings, graphics, designs, page headers, button icons, scripts and service names may not be used, including as part of trademarks and/or as part of domain names, in connection with any product or service in any manner that is likely to cause confusion and may not be copied, imitated, or used, in whole or in part, without prior written permission from The Well Property Management Team. 

The Well reserves the right to administer and enforce all rules and policies in accordance with the provisions of the Trespass to Property Act of Ontario. The Well reserves the right to amend and modify these rules and policies at any time.
