Join us for an exciting afternoon of chess at The Well on Saturday, July 20th from 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM. We’re celebrating International Chess Day! Hosted by the Knightcap Chess Club, this event is perfect for chess enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels. We’re excited to present:

  • Giant Chess Set: Experience chess on a grand scale and learn from Matthew Bergeron, our expert chess teacher who will be teaching the basics of chess to young and eager minds! (Ages 5 – 12)
  • Provided Chess Boards: All boards and pieces will be provided by Knightcap Chess Club, so you just need to bring your enthusiasm.
  • Delicious Treats: Savour Buy-One-Get-One Postman Waffles while you play.
  • Exciting Prizes: Enter for a chance to win a one-night VIP stay at The Annex Hotel, including a complimentary bottle of wine!

Knightcap Chess Club

Taylor Harrison started Knightcap Chess Club here in Toronto, a venture born out of a passion for chess and community building. Our club aims to unite individuals through the timeless game of chess, providing an inclusive and beginner-friendly environment. The twist? We plan to host our gatherings in some of Toronto’s coolest venues, including bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and event spaces. Picture this: a gathering of minds, where cocktails, wine, and snacks complement the strategic gameplay.
