Take a seat and be transported to our past – Toronto-based furniture designer, Brothers Dressler, repurposed our salvaged timber into modern-day sculptures.
The next time you pass by and admire the sculptural seating within the lobby, you will have a new appreciation for their beauty. You see, all of the wood is made of Douglas-Fir which was salvaged from the former Globe and Mail buildings that occupied this site.
In fact, The Well will feature salvaged wood from the timbers of these buildings throughout the entire campus in various thoughtful reinterpretations through skilled craftsmanship. From timber-lined bridges to retail soffits to boardroom tables to room dividers, this material from our past will once again grace us while offering function, beauty and a story.
